Klugheim

A PLACE VIBRATING WITH ENERGY AND FANTASTIC INNOVATION

At the centre of the craggy landscape made from basalt rock, rustic wooden houses form a village. Mighty dragon sculptures painstakingly made by hand adorn the roofs of the elaborate buildings. Above them, TARON and RAIK roar on their steel lifelines through the air and assert their claim on the summit of Klugheim.

A RUSTIC FEAST

In the village square, the rustic restaurant invites you to stop off and dine in a pleasant atmosphere. With clinking tankards visitors can enjoy the hospitality of the inhabitants of Klugheim and the sophisticated ease of this theme park.

AUTHENTIC

In keeping with nature, the inhabitants of Klugheim have built their village using the strongest raw materials. Hundreds of wooden beams were mortised and lashed together using traditional craftsmanship. They covered their roofs with slate slabs and plastered the floors with coarse stone. In other places, mighty basalt slabs border the many paths that lead one past mystical symbols, even deeper into the rocky landscape.

LIVELY

In Klugheim village square, life is in full swing. A great copper beech reigns over proceedings and acts as a landmark to help the visitors on their way to the heart of the theme park. In the shadows of the giants TARON and RAIK, an exotic plant sprouts from the dark lava floor – black grass has captured this adverse habitat and its long leaves tickle the steel of the coaster.

The world's statements about theming before the opening:

"Phantasialand re-defines thematisation for the theme park sector!"

"I cannot get over the level of detail that dominates in Klugheim. I have no words to describe how incredible this project is!"

"I have never encountered such a complex endeavour of this kind!"
